Most field sales roles ask you to take share off a competitor, in a market that already knows the product and has already priced it. This one asks you to open a category. Easier conversation, bigger runway.

Your diary is filled for you

Our client’s marketing team generates the enquiries and books your appointments, clustered by postcode so you spend the day selling rather than driving. Leads are worked within about five days, while interest is still warm. Full-time is 10–15 appointments a week — 40 to 60 a month — and anything you source yourself carries a 25% uplift on top, uncapped.

What you earn

Approximately £80,000–£85,000 a year at 10–15 appointments a week. That is what current full-time advisors earn, not a projection.

The appointment

You are in the customer’s home to demonstrate, not to pitch. You test their water, show them what softened water actually does, find out what is bothering them — limescale, appliance failures, dry skin, the state of the shower screen — and quote against it. It is one of the very few home improvement products a customer can experience for themselves, in their own kitchen, in minutes, before they buy.

Around 38% of sales are agreed on the day; the other 62% come back within one to four days. Advisors who follow up properly and keep clear notes materially outperform those who do not.

Now the honest part

Prime time is early evenings and weekends. That is when both decision-makers are home and able to decide, so flexibility across prime time matters more here than total hours.

You are a self-employed contractor. No salary, no rota, no ceiling.

You are paid on installation, not at the point of sale. A sale agreed in July is fitted through August and paid in September. Once your pipeline is full, this rolls, but your first payment lands a few weeks after your first sale.

In-home or direct sales experience is non-negotiable. Our client trains you to be an expert in water; it does not teach you how to sell.

Who this suits

Experienced in-home or direct sales people, ideally 7–8 years in the field with an established contact base, who want the ceiling taken off and would rather become a product expert than be coached on closing technique. You will need your own car and a full UK licence, comfort with a CRM and a tablet, and to be able to work within FCA requirements on consumer finance.

It will not work if you need a guaranteed monthly salary, or income before your first installation completes.
