Over 90% of the UK’s 11 million people aged 65 and over want to stay living independently, but with fewer than one in ten British homes built with basic accessibility, ordinary chairs, beds, and baths quickly become daily hazards.

Our client is an established British specialist providing bespoke furniture and walk-in bathing adaptations that bridge this gap. Backed by a £6m annual advertising investment, they connect their field consultants directly with homeowners requesting an assessment, giving you a full diary of warm visits without any cold calling or prospecting.

How your days run

• Roughly 10 Visits Weekly: Around two pre-arranged consultations per day, with full route details confirmed the evening before.
• Consultative Demonstrations: You spend quality time in customers’ homes assessing their needs and demonstrating bespoke rise & recliner chairs, adjustable beds, and walk-in bathing solutions.
• Ethical, Pressure-Free Advice: You guide families toward products that genuinely improve their daily comfort, with no hard-sell pressure tactics.
• Full Follow-Up Protection: If a customer needs time to think and later orders through the central telephone team, you still receive full commission on the deal.

How you get paid

• £70,000–£95,000 Realistic OTE: Achievable annual earnings on a self-employed, commission-only basis, with established top performers regularly exceeding £100,000+.
• Weekly BACS Payments: Commissions are calculated and paid directly to your bank account on a regular weekly cycle.
• Weekly Performance Bonus: Additional cash incentives added to your earnings each week for hitting set sales milestones.

Your launch package

• All-Expenses-Paid Training: Comprehensive 5-day residential onboarding covering product technicalities, sizing, and consultative sales skills, with travel and accommodation covered.
• Vehicle Support: A commercial van supplied to get you on the road immediately, with rental payments deferred for your first 10 weeks so you can build cash flow first.
• Demonstration Kit: Full demonstration equipment and fabric/leather samples provided so you can present practical solutions in customer homes.
• Field Technology: Digital sales tools and software provided to manage your appointments, routes, and orders on the move.
• Regional Mentorship: Hands-on field coaching and continuous backing from your dedicated Regional Sales Manager.

Now, the honest part

• 100% Self-Employed: This is a commission-only role with no basic salary – your income reflects your activity, conversion rate, and customer care.
• Alternate Saturdays: Homeowners often require family members present during consultations, so working every other Saturday is mandatory.
• Extensive Regional Travel: You will spend significant time on the road travelling across your designated territory between morning and afternoon appointments.
• Essential Setup: You must hold a valid UK driving licence and arrange your own public liability insurance and smartphone data SIM.

Who fits this role

• Proven experience in direct sales, in-home consultations, mobility, or domestic home improvements.
• High emotional intelligence, patience, and the ability to build rapport naturally with older adults and their families.
• Professional personal presentation with an ethical, consultative approach to closing.
• Strong self-discipline to manage regional driving, keep appointments punctual, and log daily visit details.

It will not work if: You require a guaranteed basic salary, dislike spending time on the road, cannot commit to alternate Saturdays, or rely on aggressive sales tactics.
