Closing the Chapter: How Q4 2025 Made Headlines

30th January 2026

As we kick off 2026, we’re looking back at the press coverage that defined the end of our biggest year yet.

As we wrap up the first month of 2026, we wanted to take a moment to look back at how we closed 2025.

The final quarter of last year (October – December) was a defining period for Citrus Connect. Not only were we heads-down matching top talent for the new year, but we were also publicly sharing our data on the state of the UK labour market.

We closed 2025 by releasing our research into the “Confidence Gap” – revealing that 13 million UK workers have the transferable skills to move roles but lack the confidence to take the leap.

At the same time, we celebrated a major internal milestone: wrapping up 2025 as our strongest year on record following our strategic £100k technology investment.

We are thrilled that our research and our growth story were featured in national and regional press throughout Q4. A huge thank you to the editors for sharing our story.

Here is a roundup of the features that closed out 2025:

On The “Confidence Gap” & Transferable Skills

Our research into the 13 million workers held back by confidence was picked up across the UK recruitment landscape.

On Scotland’s Talent Pool

Our data specifically highlighted Scotland as the UK’s leading hub for transferable skills.

On Citrus Connect’s Record Growth

Following our £100k investment in new technology, the press celebrated our strongest year to date.

2025 was a year of building foundations. 2026 is the year we build the future.
